Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. It is where students learn technique, usage of the feet, and how to develop strength, balance, and quality of movement. This class will focus on ballet terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. Students will have a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, carriage of upper body, and flexibility.
Students will learn the basics of ballet and tap technique in a fun, encouraging environment! Focuses of the class will include balance, coordination, confidence, and discipline.
Students begin preparing the legs and feet for pointe work through a combination of pre-pointe appropriate exercises and ballet technique. Students will work with therabands and other physical therapy props to strengthen the appropriate muscles in the legs, feet, back and abdominals to prepare students anatomically for the arduous work on pointe.
These classes teach rhythm, coordination, basic tap terminology and choreography. Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one’s tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. As such, it is also commonly considered to also be a form of music.
This upbeat class will focus on learning Broadway-style choreography, show-stopping stage presence and acting, with a focus on learning song-and-dance numbers from a variety of musical productions, past and present.
Hip-hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Students will focus on rhythm, musicality, and dynamics in their movements.
Me & My Shadow
Me & My Shadow is tailored to our youngest dancers and their parent/guardian. This class emphasizes the creative art of dance while working in an exciting new learning environment. Each class will work around a different theme and use new props and activities to introduce dance and movement to ages 18months to 3 years. Students will gain communication skills, coordination and develop their memory through movement.

Rhythm Works Integrative Dance is a groundbreaking rhythm and dance program designed for those with individual learning differences and other special needs. With the direction of a certified instructor (Ms. Hannah Tiemeyer), dancers will focus on the following: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, body awareness, body control, social skills, strength, flexibility, focus, imitation, ideation, motor planning, memory & recall, coordination, receptive language, expressive language, and much more!
