LINDSAY WOOD HOSE grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia and started dancing at her local studio. She received her B.F.A. in Dance from Florida State University, where she focused on ballet and modern. After moving to New York, she discovered her love of contemporary movement and focused on broadening her movement style. She has been in both the Broadway and Touring Companies of the musical Wicked as both a Dance Captain and a Swing. She currently is full-time at Finding Nemo- the Musical at Disney’s Animal Kingdom where she also serves as the Dance Captain. She also can be found at Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness, as a close friend of Claire de Lune. Other favorite performance highlights include Oklahoma! at the Fulton Theater and being a company member in dre.dance, a contemporary dance company run by Andrew Palermo and Taye Diggs.
In addition to performing, Lindsay has a passion for teaching the next generation of dancers. She currently is a Teaching Artist with Disney Performing Arts, specifically the Broadway Magic workshops. She really loves the chance to sprinkle some musical theater Disney Magic both onstage and off.
While on the tour with Wicked, she had the chance to teach master classes around the country through the organization Broadway Connection. Between dance jobs and while she was auditioning in New York, she worked for a non-profit called Inside Broadway, which sends Teaching Artists into public schools around New York City. She has taught contemporary jazz master classes in Michigan for Dance Masters of America-Chapter 46, in Pennsylvania for the Lehigh Valley Dance Alliance, in New Jersey for Dance World Academy, and in Connecticut at Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance. As a teacher, she enjoys challenging students to move their bodies and experience dance in new and exciting ways.
